Mario Or Sonic?!?Yeah yeah, I know, there are two Spider-Men, and two Cyclops. Why? The same anwser with "why DC,Marvel,and other Games characters are fighting?? MULTIVERSE! Symbiote Spider-Man is in a different universe than the Avengers,X-men and Spider-Man.
The same thing with Phoenix Cyclops...

Mmm, well they are fighting for the living of their respectives universes. But some characters share universe,I will give them random numbers to differentiate them xD:
Earth 9843: Wolverine, Red Hulk and Cyclops
Earth 0932: Cap.America Black Widow, Iron Man, Deadpool and Giant Man
Earth 8743: Samus, Captain Falcon and Megaman
Earth 324: Giganta, Superman and Deathstroke
Earth 543: Batman, The Flash and Shazam
The other characters are from different Realities (Spider-Man dont share universe with anyone, Same with the Symbiote and the two Phoenix)
and Chris dont share universe with Leon, obviusly Leon exist in the Chris universe but its not the same Leon. Same thing with the other Leon xD

If one of the two sides wins, all the universes they have will exist, and the other side will see how they universes will be destroyed. Soo this always will dont have a good ending

I pick Sonic, always. Though his team might have trouble against some of the other guys like Wolverine, Superman and a second Spider-Man. I’m sure they can handle it.

Probably this battle hab various endings,
1-Mario Team wins
2-Sonic Team wins
3-Both lose
4-They calm down and stop the fight ( the most bored ending )
5-All die in a universe incursion
6-Only survive the most powerful characters (Superman-Shazam Pheonix,Cyclops and Jean and probably Deadpool and Wolverine)
7-They united for a common good

Well he probably can end that battle, obviously killing all the fighters (that would be so dissapointing) Its Goku, he is more like a cameo, and he es is making the "genkidama" In my ending, all the fighters can see the genkidama, giving them the possibility to avoid it, thus continuing with the central fight. Or the alternative ending is: the only survivors would be the two Phoenixs, Shazam and Superman. Or you have another ending for this?

i like happy ends were every one dead. but i also know that no character like to be killed.
if you invite me to make a crazye other endIi will send you the Assamera the good "goddess" of my storyworlds(she is arond the level of the Q from star treck) and let her stop time and space talking to everyone who want fight and show them all the bad that will happen. if thy all know she restarts and if there is an exident with that "genkidama" she will absorb it .
