While Nebula was busy picking out his next target and what type of warp she should use on that individual, Lara Croft thought that this was the perfect opportunity to take the Infinity Gauntlet off the blue-skinned alien's hands. However, Lara had not seen the previous attempts by some of the other heroes who had tried the same thing. Therefore, she could not foresee how her actions could end so badly.

“I can tell you’ve done one too many duckface selfies,” Nebula taunted Lara Croft, although the expression on the Englishwoman’s face showed how she had no idea what the blue-skinned alien was talking about. Nebula, on the other hand, had known what Lara was up to even before the archaeologist had approached her. “Didn’t your mother ever tell you that your face can get stuck like that?”

“What the bloody he—” Lara Croft began to retort back, but she soon discovered that she could not speak anymore. Her lips began to elongate, growing longer and longer until they formed what appeared to have been a rubber duck’s beak. She tried to reach up and touch her newly formed bill, but she could not move her arms.

When Lara peered down at her body to see what was preventing her body from moving her arms, she was shocked to see that the rest of her body had taken on a rubbery, inflatable texture. Everything below her neck had been warped into a circular donut shape, just like a flotation device that children would likely have used. Her arms, legs, and clothes were now only a printed design on her ring-shaped body. Besides her head, which looked more like a duck’s than a human’s, the only part of her body that had not been absorbed into her new donut-shaped frame was her breasts, which jutted out from the front of the floatie.

Nebula, who was now wearing a dark blue and purple two piece bikini, strolled over where Lara was resting on the ground. She first plucked the Englishwoman’s glasses from her bill and placed them on her own face. She then stepped inside the donut hole gap in the center of Lara’s body and bent over to lift her up. She pulled Lara up her legs and over her hips, so the woman, who had been transformed into a pool inflatable, would be resting around her hips.

“Ready for some summertime fun?” Nebula asked Lara, although she knew that the woman could not respond due to her current condition. “But I feel like I’m missing something.”

Nebula then turned her head and noticed the Hulk , who she had flattened a while ago. With a snap of her fingers, the Hulk’s skin took on a cloth-like texture and his body was forced into a rectangular shape. Nebula used the power of the infinity stones to cause the Hulk to levitate and float towards her. At the same, Batwoman , whom Nebula had warped into a toy boat, also appeared in her hand. Now that Nebula had a beach towel and a water toy, she was ready to hit the pool.

“I can’t speak for you,” Nebula said while reaching down and squeezing one of Lara’s inflated breasts, “but I’m interested to see if your personal flotation devices are truly buoyant.”
