Description well here's another one, because I've been lazy the past few days I haven't made much, nor have I photographed anything. I'm waiting on photographing stuff until I can get a picture of my project I created last weekend. So in place of real maille I give you CGI tutorial maille. This is perhaps my favorite weave, especially in a certain color scheme, which you can see in the tutorial. I hope you all like this weave as much as I do, because at some point I'm going to have a deviation with a few bracelets in this style up here much like I did with the Half Persian bracelets.

Feedback appreciated!

has used my tutorial to produce a piece, check it out here: [link]

I love Da members. I can always count on someone to show me how to do something I don't understand, and do it well! You are awesome! Thank you so much for your great tutorial!

I've always been fascinated with chainmaille, and always wanted to make my own. This looks like a straight forward, easy to follow tutorial. Thank you for sharing it

of course! It really is fun, it's time consuming but therapeutic in a way. Also, it's very addicting. If you're looking for more information look at the Arador Armor Library, as well as the Mail Artisans International League (www.mailleartisans.org)

Have you ever made up your own design before?
Again another wonderful tut. IMHO

I have made up my own designs yes, they're posted on here as the "Fireman's Hold" various deviations... whenever I don't have a project in mind but I wanna fool around with stuff I just start putting rings together and sometimes I find something that looks like it'd be worth pursuing and that's sort of how I developed the Fireman's Hold weaves, I've got another couple of things I have to take a closer look at and see if I can't make something neat out of them as well.

That so cool. I can't wait until I move into a bigger place so I can work on suff like this.

Well done only one thing you could have done with a better colour choice at the bottom cos you cant really see the pattern i love this one two its the most popular weave i use

when i do it i tend to make one side first to the required length then put the closed rings over the smaller rings and link them in that way... if that makes sence ^^

Nice!
If, in the first step, 'fig a' you have 2 more reds on the second blue then in 'fig b' (just before the arrow), you only have to open one ring, the blue, thred that through the extra 2 reds from fig a...repeat, etc...know what I mean?...saves opening some rings...

yeah, I see what you mean, I for some reason just find it easier opening the small rings and closing the big ones, more open rings but easier in my opinion.
