‘Valentines,’ [Name] spat silently to herself.

She wasn't really fond of this certain Holiday. Nor did she hate it very much either. I mean, who could ever reject a box full of scrumptious chocolates? Not her, obviously. Although, putting the chocolates aside, there was also something else that bothered the [h/c]-girl..

Her [e/c] eyes averted towards to the two students snogging.

‘If you're trying to have a little snog, at least do it somewhere private!’ She shrieked to herself.

However, as much as she wanted to yell at those two students, no words escaped from her chapped-pink lips. She didn't have a right to do so, anyway. Besides, she wouldn't want to ruin their day. It is Valentines Day, after all.. She couldn't do anything about it other than to hold her foul shrieks of distress until the end of the day.

“You can always ignore them, you know. It's not that hard - really.” A voice had said from beside her. [Name] didn't need to turn around to figure who the person was when she already knew the answer herself. She sighed and shook her head, a frown on her face.

“But.. But it's so disturbing.” [Name] reasoned. How funny. She wasn't really the type of person to whine or to complain about absurd and stupid little things. But here she is.

“It's only for today, [Name].” Arthur spoke, trying to reassure her. “Surely, you can handle that. I know this for a fact because I know that [Name] [Surname] is a intelligent, witty, and sharp-minded girl.”

“Right. Yes, you're very right on that, Arthur!” [Name] beamed with hope (Or at least he thought so.) and gave his hand a shake mumbling the words ‘Thank you, Arthur! Thank you!’ and he couldn't help but only smile at her odd way of thanking him.

“Well, now that is taken care of, I do believe we—”

“Stop right there, Mr. Kirkland! We have.. important matters to take care.” [Name] quickly interrupted, stopping the Gryffindor student from finishing his sentence.

“Hmm, is that so?” Arthur mused, arching a brow. “What that may be, Miss [Surname]?”

“Well, considering that it's Valentines Day and everyone's off to doing something whatever they may be doing—” [Name] smiled nervously and tuck a piece of hair behind her ear and began talking again. “—and.. since I have nothing planned other than studying.. I was just thinking that.. well, I don't know.. If you could go to Hogsmeade with me? If you don't want to, then that's alright with me! I can just go somewhere else and—”

“I'd love to.”

“—maybe I could just study.. Wait, wait, what did you say?” She was off rambling to herself, that she didn't even hear Arthur's response! Oh, Merlin! Magnificent job, [Name]. Just. Wonderful. Now he probably thinks you've gone completely mental! And he's just going to find you weird, gross, and.. just weird.

“I said—” Here, Arthur gave a small kiss on her forehead and smiled graciously. “I would love to go to Hogesmeade with you, [Name] [Surname].”

“Really?” Her eyes slightly widened with shock and bewilderment. But she was happy, of course! Very happy! It would have been lonely without Arthur and all that junk..

He nodded his head confidently. “Of course.” But before [Name] could open her mouth once again, Arthur had beat her to it. “You know, I was going to ask you the same thing. But then I realized how much you loathed Valentines Day.. and I wasn't really sure how you'd respond.”

“Oh, Arthur!” She cried, throwing her arms at him. “Of course, I would go with you!”

Arthur had only smiled and kissed her forehead lightly.

Ah, love is in the air.
