Description
SPRD - SimPlaza Research and Development presentsCACTUAR, VERSION 1.0
Warning: This avatar requires a lot of effort to set up via XML import due to lack of attachment position information that is currently not exportable. Sorry!
My latest creation on OSGrid, for OpenSim and Second Life users. BEHOLD! It is CACTUAR, the prickly one!
This avatar packs quite a lot of content that makes it really fun to use. I've tried to faithfully reproduce the Cactuar from Final Fantasy XIII and as such, the most important parts are the animations. Combined with an AO, this Cactuar happily twiddles and bounces when idle. When you walk or run, he does his trademark waddle.
Not only is he cute to watch, he's also quite a handsome chap. The whole avatar is textured using a very sharp and high-resolution texture which is painstakingly UV-mapped over the curved surfaces. You wont find a single abrupt end to texture. Furthermore, Cactuar is textured "psuedo-shader" style. He's got two layers that make him more sharp looking and makes lighting look much better on him.
What does this pack come with?
This pack comes with ALL the source textures used to make the psuedo-shader, the original BVH animations + AO notecard and the XML prims that can be imported using a good viewer like Imprudence.
What is this pack missing?
This doesn't come with an alpha layer, which is something you'll need to make in order to hide your avatar shape so it doesn't leak through the prims. To learn how to make and wear an alpha layer, follow these instructions .
Can I obtain this in-world on OSGrid?
Yes - Simply drop me a note/comment here with your avatar name OR a notecard to "Major Rasputin" and I will send you a pack complete with everything + a gesture :3
Can I obtain this in-world on Second Life?
No - Unless someone's willing to upload the textures + animations and distribute the avatar FOR FREE with FULL PERMISSIONS.
What does "100% organic" mean?
Everything used to make this avatar is 100% by me. No third-party textures or images from the internet or stock collections were used in the making of the textures nor animations.
TO-DO
- A female "Flowering Cactuar" version
- The "10,000 Needles" attack!
