Description
I made these ages ago, but I guess I'll share 'em.7-zip is the ultimate compression program, both due to it's own format and it's usefulness around the system. Except, the 98-style icons had to go.
I kept the blue blocks for identifying the types, with a hint of glossiness. Then, taking Vista's folder icon and slapping on a (albeit rubbish) "zip" you have a nice glossy vista-style icon for the compressions shown on the screenshot. I included the source XCF (GIMP) file so you can make more formats.
These all come in 16*, 32* and 48*. However, only in 32bit Alpha mode. Also, you have to implement them by ResHacking the DLL's in 7zip's "Formats" folder, usually at C:\Program Files\7-Zip\Formats
If there's an easier way, please share :3
Oh and, I also made an icon for 7zip itself, up to 48* crisp glory and a bit of gloss. Not much really, but it fits.
Vista folder icon copyright Microsoft
7zip icon copyright the 7zip team. Awesome stuff, guys.
