Last month I had a dream; this painting is based on that dream. maybe I should write a four-book novel series based on this, which gets turned into a film and book franchise and I'll be rich forever

I often have dreams of things like this, always very emotional and alive. I dream pretty much every night, and always in color, and more often than not I have the ability to fly, sometimes with wings, sometimes without.

The mountains and sky are reminiscent of the Ko'olau Mountains near my home in Hawaii. I always see them at sunset when I'm driving to the gym and I just had to include it in a painting somehow, and this one was perfect. The sun rays streaming off the tops of mountains and through clouds are a pretty common sight here, but they never cease to amaze me.

I usually listen to audiobooks or music when I paint, and the following songs evoke the kind of feeling I wanted to achieve with this painting:
