Actually, it's true. It releases bowels, too. The reason is muscle relaction and contraction upon death. Also, after a while, the contents of the large and small intestine begin to decompose, creating for some VERY foul smelling... gasses. Don't ask me how I know.... Let's just say I've got... sources.
