Ooh... A halberd, that's deadly and my favorite. Halberd is a 'triple-threat' of pole weapons: combination of spear, axe, and scythe.
You see that sickle that nearly got Derpy's leg? The scythe part can hook on the target, get them on the ground and then strike.
By the way, why the scythe blade isn't covered?

What does the red flag waved by the griffin on the far left mean? Is it like a red card in football? I just noticed he has white one and a yellow one in the other claw. And by the fierce look of this competition the battling griffin may need a three cloth covers for his weapon too.Β
