I'm having a lot of fun looking at all the details and interpreting them in terms of "The Healing Process". So, for me, the phoenix really stands out, being my own personal symbol of healing and renewal. Also, I'm not entirely sure what's in the upper-right corner, but it reminds me of the Biblical bronze serpent.
Again, this is a very well-drawn and thought-provoking piece. You both should be proud of yourselves!

Thank you for looking into the details! I think of the serpent as the opposing force to the phoenix (similar to the dragon opposing the phoenix). Even during a healing process, you have forces/obstacles that work against it.

So much story behind it, that it just make you stare at it all day long trying to decipher what each little piece means.
And such beautiful mix of colors. The bird gives it such softness to the whole art piece.
