Description I cast my first sculpture on an art course in 2010. The snapping turtle is 50 cm long and weights 15 kg.

First the sculpture is made in clay. After that a plaster mold is build to create a wax-copy. The final mold is constructed over the wax. This mold is burned in a kiln untill all the wax is disappeared inside the mold. Then molten bronze is poured into the mold. The casting channels and air ducts have been cut away from the final work. The surface of the metal has been polished.

Are there resin copies of this? I would buy one blank and paint it. You should cast some!
