Description
This exercise in character design was based on a Japanese creature with six arms, but I decided to take it in a Greek direction toward the Hecatoncheires (Ἑκατόγχειρες). So I wanted him to look like a Helena stick fighter, but definitely with some magical properties, my son helped me figure out some of the details as this was his inspiration. Behind him I wanted to try something a bit different, so I went for the palace of Knossos, which is found on the island of Crete, famous for the legend of the labyrinth. I also wanted to play a bit with the colors of the sky, contrasted with the colors of the ruins themselves. This was a fun one to vent out a little bit!
