Eddie’s little claws tapped against the cobblestone ground of Wynsiph. He sighed with frustration, glancing behind him at the stalls and shops that came up fruitless. Eddie needed the perfect hat. A great adventurer needs a great hat! Yet, despite his valiant search worthy of a hero, nothing. No fedora, bowler, cap, nor smokestack held the prestige of a vagabond that he needed. His ears nearly dragged on the ground as he moped through the town square. Then, he saw it.
Sitting in the alleyway, hidden amongst garbage, was his prize. Dirty and abandoned, the tarnished cap was perfect. Eddie made a beeline for the hat, and clutched it in his little claws as if it would evaporate the moment he let go. He shook some of the dirt off the cap, and eagerly placed it on his head. It was far too big for him, threatening to droop over his eyes at any moment, but it was just what he needed. He trotted back towards the nook, pleased as a peach, to show Alma the hidden treasure he had discovered.
