Mmmh there is no real tip for it,
The best tip I can probably give you is just to draw. You will find yourself making these portraits with easy if you just draw them regular. Painting and drawing is like everything else, just training.

yea but, did you layers every color or every parts of the face??? whats the opacity that you used? did you use in photoshop or illustrator? did you used tablet?

I used just one layer, opacity was I belive allways 100% of the standart round brush in paint tool Sai . Yes I used a tablet XD.

Paint tool Sai is a program for digital drawing and yes opacity is always at 100.

So ok here a other tip, try to inform yourself a bit. It's really ok to ask questions, but the best way of learning is, when you don't know what something is, try to figure it out. Google is a really big help to it. Just Google unknown terms and most of the time you will find a answer.
