pick up your mouse and start vectoring!! from the wheels that you vectored, you will defintely do a great job in people as well!

maybe i'll try, but i don't know where to start and i don't know how to vector people. i think it's much easier vectoring cars

wow. did you take any tutorial for this? 'cause i'm doing the simple vector art already [look in my gallery], and i wanna heighten my skills up a notch..

personally i did not learn through any tutorial but i explored mainly on my own. most of the tutorials in DA usually teach the minimalist kind of vector, not the realistic kind if you are looking for. but there is a trick to that and i must credit the person who taught me and that's brewer23 .
posterize your reference to get the contours and then manually trace them to get smooth curves. remember the contours are only a guide. they are not smooth at all and that's why you have to manually trace them.
over time as i refine my work i came up with a rule for realistic vectoring. for skin colour hue, the difference in the value is restricted to 5(min) and 10(max).
for hair, i vector bout 10-20 strands and duplicate the rest (they must be flowing in the same direction) but of course you have to vary the colour, angle, size and transparency to make it seems like you vector every single strand of hair. add in a few strands that are unique to complete the whole hair.
i might come up with a tutorial pretty soon but that wouldnt be those detail one. hope the above help.

the trick is the color difference between each path. typically i use a difference of 5 in the hue for skin. but that is one of the hassle of realistic vectoring. the amount of time spent is a huge difference compared to minimalist vectoring due to the large number of layers and paths.
