Description

The vice president of the Velvet Hotel business and the culprit behind La Llorona. As it turns out, Mary has been pocketing a lot of the company's profits and keeping them for herself. When she heard they were planning to build a hotel in where the Casagrande's apartment building was, she was ecstatic that she would have even more money. However, when the residents of the building refused, Mary wouldn't give up easily. After finding out that Rosa was very superstitious, she decided to use it to her advantage. She posed as La Llarona so Rosa would have everyone in the building leave to protect them.

Clues:

-She rigged wires across the city in order to give off the illusion of her flying

-A strange gunk that turned out to be residue of fog machine

-A projector she added to show La Llarona rising from the fountain so she could throw off suspicion

-Strange gaps in the Velvet Hotel's accounts

-Despite La Llarona be a ghost of Mexican folklore, she only spoke English. And when Rosa tried pleading to her in Spanish, the ghost didn't understand her.
