Once again MAD Time Agent Thelma is up to no good in the past, once again Inspector Gadget, his niece Penny, and her dog Brain are hot on her trail. Penny Gadget got a little too hot on Thelma's trail. It seems that Penny will be getting of Joseph-Ignace Guillotin's humane method of execution, don't worry Brain will save her again.

Interesting fact while the Guillotine became respresentative of the Reign of Terror during the French Revolution, it was really done to ensure a quick and hopefully painless death to convicts. Before you had to get the local woodsmen to chop the head off, depending on his skill and sharpness of his axe it could take a couple of swings. The French used this form of execution till 1977 after France banned the death penalty. The last public excution of a criminal was in 1939, problems with the guillotine, the behaviour of the crowd, and finally someone secretly filming this lead to the authorities to keep in the prison. Even the blade was coated in a dull flat black paint, to prevent reflection of the sun.
