Description
NOW AVAILABLE AS A T-SHIRT ----> SHINING TIME STATION ShirtOH. MY. GOD. This is the longest reconstruction of a logo I've ever done, made entirely on Photoshop. I have spent hours looking for high quality variant scans of the logo that included BOTH the bluebird perching and the yellow butterfly, which was also a pain in the ass to the point of me almost headbutting my laptop. This took me almost two months to complete due to me having to take a "little" break.
Now, with that out of the way, let me explain what "Shining Time Station" was.
"Shining Time Station" was an American kids show that ran on PBS from 1989 to 1995. It was an attempt to popularize "Thomas and Friends" (formerly known as "Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends") in the United States since it was a smash hit in the United Kingdom. British television producer Britt Allcroft adapted "Thomas & Friends", from a series of children's books titled "The Railway Series" by The Reverend Wilbert Awdry. Allcroft collaborated with American producer Rick Siggelkow to feature elements of live-action cast featuring a storyteller known as "Mr. Conductor" (Ringo Starr in seasons 1&2, and comedian George Carlin in seasons 3&4), telling a Thomas story featuring footage from the "Thomas & Friends" TV series. The show was a huge success, leading Thomas to have his show broadcast in the US, delighting kids, adults & train enthusiants worldwide today! Elements of "Shining Time Station" later appeared in the 2000 film "Thomas and the Magic Railroad".
