Dr. Wake man, as we all know, is an elderly woman. Probably in her seventies or eighties.
Nora, or Noreen, is a name which originated near Austria.
Her and Phineas Mogg had a bitter rivalry dating back ages. Which, we can assume was during their youth. Regardless, they worked alongside each other to advance robotics.
Given that the show began in August of 2003, Nora and Mogg would be in their early twenties during the early 1940s.
During the war, Germany sent different groups all across the globe to research new forms of weaponry. Ranging from teleportation, energy weapons, and robotics.
Die Glocke was the name given to this secret project.
XJ-9 is a humanoid robot built with a full arsenal of weapons that can be conveniently stored. It also has above average intelligence, and the ability to wear a skin like exoskeleton which would allow it to slip past enemy lines as a spy.
Jenny was initially meant to be a Nazi war machine. Nora and Mogg were part of Hitler's research team.
