Well with this wall i discovered the contrast/brightness ratio could really make dull mountains look icy
maybe a helpfull tool.

yes, brightness and contrast are great, problem is to set it similar for different elements, so it looks as complex ...

mm yeahh indeed. I used 4 different mountains on this image, and took me ages to, as you said, make it look like one big piece. Thats why i ended up using a tiny bit of the images..
