Not really... techically, GMK Godzilla IS Ghost Godzilla. If you read the wiki, this incarnation of Godzilla is depicted as a amalgamation of all the spirits of the WWII soldiers who had died prior to Godzilla’s 1954 attack. The spirits were angry that Japan forgot about their sacrifice so they possessed the original Godzilla’s corpse and used it as a vessel to enact their vengeance on Japan. We never got to see Godzilla fight Ghost Godzilla, but given that GMK Godzilla originated from spirits, it’s safe to say Ghost Godzilla is canon, but never actually fought Godzilla. Take into mind that GMK served as yet another reboot to the 1954 film and ignored everything else. So basically, GMK Godzilla is the original Godzilla, now back to life and ready to wreak havoc once more.
