This tierlist will piss a lot of people off. PS1 and Reignited Spyro are a lot of people's favorite designs due to personal preferences. That's understandable. Me personally, I vaguely remember playing Spyro 3 as a toddler. All I remember from that game is Srgt. Byrd. Feel free to disagree with me in the comments...where somebody will possibly curse me out for this tierlist. I hate specific Scrimblo Bimblo fandoms.

DOTD Spyro is in S tier because to me he embodies my idea of Spyro. A bold, heroic paragon who is almost like Superman, yet is vulnerable emotionally and physically. Oh, and he looks badass! Like, he looks COOL! The wings, the broad chest, the horns, his animalistic features, his expressive eyes. He just looks like a hero. I'd put him on par with comic book heroes like Captain America. I...love this design SO much. Yeah, he has a Scooby-Doo mouth, but it doesn't bother me. I wish he was a little more masculine, though. Still, it's an epic design for an epic dragon.

ANB/TEN Spyro, Krome Spyro, whatever you want to call him, is in A tier because he looks charming. He looks kooky and odd, but that's what I love about him. He just looks humble yet daring. I can imagine this little dude being in a Tim Burton film. What holds him back is that he's supposed be a younger DOTD Spyro, but that game has a different art style and isn't consistent with the first 2 Legend games. I know why they look super different, but I just wish the dev team behind DOTD would make their design more consistent. Regardless of inconsistency, I still think Krome Spyro looks cool and creative.

Skylanders Spyro is in B tier because I think he looks cool despite being small and rather big headed. I'll be honest, I put him in B tier due to nostalgic reasons, but the same could be said for the higher ranked Spyro designs. He just a cute little fella. He's a goblin boi, but he's my goblin boi. Imaginators Spyro is in B tier because I like how expressive he is, and he also looks pretty charming. Didn't like how Matt Mercer voiced him, though.

SF Spyro, TT or SuperChargers Spyro and Acadamy Spyro are in C tier because they all look okay to me. They don't look awful, but they don't really wow me either. Acadamy Spyro is the most expressive out of everyone in C tier, but what holds him back is that is textures look off, his color scheme looks weird, and he looks weird when he stands on 2 legs.

PS1 Spyros, ETD Spyro and DS Spyro are in D tier because I just don't think they look cool. They don't look heroic to me. They just look kiddie and weird. I mean, jokes on me because they're from super easy platformers, but they just don't click with me the same way Skylanders or Legend Spyro clicks with me. I don't like their wings, snouts, tails, legs, they just look weird to me. Maybe it's because I barely grew up with Classic Spyro compared to the other versions, but they still don't appeal to me or impress me. Sorry Classic Spyro fans, I don't dig these designs.

HT Spyro is in F tier because he looks derpy and somehow worse than the D tier designs. He looks like a puppet with that mouth. Reignited Spyro is in F tier because I'm sick of seeing that design everywhere. He just looks like somebody's fursona or fursuit. Again, like the D tier designs, this design also doesn't click with me. I don't like the snout, the color scheme, the mouth, the face. It's Spyro, but it's not the epic Spyro that I love AKA DOTD Spyro. It's a Spyro for most diehard fans and that's totally fine. Personally, I'll just stick with Legend or Skylanders Spyro.
