SPOILERS, SUPREME SPOILERS.
Season 2, Episode 12.
The next episode will be released during the summer, so I figured I just write a prediction now.
“There he was, standing right in front of them all. The man Dipper have been searching for, the man that was shrouded with mysteries, the man that knows more about the strange phenomena in Gravity Falls, the man that written the Journals, the author …. And he’s the brother of his Grunkle Stan!”
Through what he has been through today, the agents capturing Stan, escaping from the agents and sneaking into the Shack, discovering that their Grunkle may not be Stan Pines, and the supposed ‘Dooms-day’ device located within a hidden bunker underneath the shack. But none of that mattered now; the greatest answer to the mysteries of the journal was standing right there.
The brother looked at the ruined lab from the now broken portal machine. He noticed Grunkle Stan instantly, and showed no happiness. “Stan ……. Stanford!!” he shouted with anger.
Grunkle Stan stood up, facing his brother, knowing very well that he wouldn’t be happy for their reunion. “Stanley, if you just listen to me.”
But Stanley cut him off. “Is he here?”
Grunkle Stan looked at him curiously. “He, what are you saying?”
Stanley grabbed onto Stan’s shoulder. “You’ve called me back here because he’d enter this world again!”
Grunkle Stan gasped. “No ….. he escaped!? I didn’t know!”
Stanley breathed deeply with rage. “You didn’t know? You out of all people know how dangerous this machine is!? I’ve told you unless he’d returned, DO ….. NOT …… EVER ….. BRING ME BACK!”
Stanley then noticed the twins standing to the side with a fat man unconscious. He looked at their faces and knew that they are relatives, but then he noticed the book in Dipper’s hand. “My third journal …. Who are these kids?”
Stanley released Grunkle Stan. “Stanley, they’re Dipper and Mabel ……… your grandchildren.”
“Our what?!” with those words, Dipper Pines fainted just like Soos.
Mabel looked down at her brother. “Oh well, my turn!” and fainted on command.
“Well …… the boy’s definitely my grandchild.”
Dipper woke up and found himself in his own bed. “What happened?” His thoughts turned to the events with the portal and Stanley. He quickly looked outside and found that it was morning. “Was all that a dream?” he checked a clock and noticed that it was reset. He saw his sister Mabel still asleep. He gently got her up. “Mabel ….. Mabel?”
Mabel slowly opened her eyes. “Dipper …… why are you up before me? Did the president read my letter and legalized Opposite Day?”
Dipper placed his hand on her shoulder. “Mabel, remember what happened last night?”
Mabel thought for a moment. “We were at that Pacifica’s party. Then Grunkle Stan drove us back home.”
“Oh.” Dipper sighed with relief and sat on his bed. “You won’t believe the crazy dream I had last night.”
Mabel rubbed her eyes and got up. “I had a crazy dream too! Twin powers activate!”
Dipper raised his eyebrow. “…..Did it have something to do with agents, a portal, Stan not himself, and the author who turned out to be Stan’s brother?”
Mabel’s eyes opened wider. “…….Yeeeeessss. You know what this means? We do have twin powers!”
“No! All that happened! The Portal, the author, Grunkle Stan! Stan!”
They looked at each other and bolted down the stairs. They ran straight into the kitchen and found their Grunkle Stan burning some pancakes. “Morning.” He greeted the twins with a normal tone.
“Grunkle Stan …..” Dipper took a deep breath. “Do you recall, what happened last night?”
Grunkle Stan looked away. “You might want to ask him?” Stan pointed behind the twins. They turned around and saw Stanley, looking at them while holding a newspaper.
The twins were in aww by the person standing right there, the author and brother of Stan. No words came from the twins that could match what they are feeling.
Stanley looked at the kids. “Dipper ….. Mabel, I am Stan’s brother, and your grandfather …. And the author of the journals.”
Dipper tried keeping a calm mind. He pulled a chair close to him and sat down. “So … you’re the author … and my grandfather?” Then all his other questions filled his mind. “W-Why did you write the journals, who was after you, and …. What happened to you?”
Stanley and Stanford looked at each other.
“And …. And what about you?” Dipper looked at Grunkle Stan. “Mabel and I found that news article about you dying and this unnamed man with your face and …” A thought accord to Dipper. “The Stan that died.” He looked at Stanley. “It was about you?”
Stanley answered yes. “Stanford and I planned that. I really needed to disappear then.”
“But why?” asked Mabel. “Why did you fake your own death ……. And where’s Soos?”
“I’m over here.”
Stanely looked out the window. “Well there were two groups after me. The first on I don’t know, and the second one was the Society of the Blind Eye, which your handy man already explained.”
Dipper and Mabel glanced at Soos looking a bit guilty. They gulped and looked over at Stan, the one they promised not to go searching for the unknown.
“Kids, don’t worry about that promise.” informed Stan. “I had a gut feeling you’ll search for answers. And ….. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you all this.”
The twins looked at the adults.
Stanley then said. “I traveled to a dimension to stop this demon by the name of Bill Cipher.”
“Gideon WHAT!?” shouted Grunkle Stan.
“Stanford, I know this boy summoned a threat worse than anything, but you can’t strangle him!”
“Tell me your secrets, six-fingers! Or suffer my wrath as I marry Mabel!”
“Even though I want to too.”
Stan, Stanley, Dipper, Mabel, and Wendy were sitting at the Mystery Shack’s counter. “So you’ve found my bunker for the doomsday, huh.” asked Stanley, whom quickly grew fond of the kids as Mabel was drawing on his face.
“It was amazing!” said Mabel. “I got caterpillars on my face, we solved a bone-crushing puzzle, we’ve froze the shapeshifter, and Dipper confessed his love for Wendy.”
“MABEL!” Dipper’s face flashed red. “I-uh-we talked and she let me down easy.” Wendy chuckled. “But I’m over her now and we’re still friends.” He and Wendy smiled at each other. “Besides, I have new cru-” With that, Dipper immediately covered his mouth and Mabel leaned close to Dipper with a huge excited grin.
“Well …… Goooo oooooon!”
“You’ve actually discovered the true founder of Gravity Falls?!” Stanley was in disbelief as to what Dipper and Mabel told her as they strolled through the forest.
“Me and my silliness solved all the clues and we found the real founder, Quentin Trembley, the 8 and a half president, frozen in peanut brittle.”
Stanley laughed.
“And you once fought with a scorpion-puppy monster?” asked Dipper. “How was it, did it have any weaknesses?”
Stanley couldn’t help but laugh at Dipper’s curiosity. “Dipper, you’re just like me.”
Dipper couldn’t help but feel proud. “Thank you, Grandpa!”
“Heck, you started filling out my third volume and discovered Gnomes’ weakness, you should start your own.”
Dipper grinned wider than when Waddles ate that brain-enhancing mushroom. “I’ll make you proud!”
Stanley laughed. “Kids, can I ask you something?” The twins looked at their uncle curiously. “I know Stanford kept me a secret from you and is a criminal, and he almost caused the end of the world…”
“The time is nigh!” shouted McGucket off screen.
“Not yet, and I will fix your brain!” Stanley looked at the kids. “But what he did, it came from his heart. I don’t want you to hate him for it. You remind me a lot of him, Mabel.”
Dipper and Mabel felt guilty. “I understand.” Dipper looked at Mabel. “And about that choice you made …”
“Dipper, I’m sorry I didn’t listen to you. It’s just the look in Grunkle Stan’s eyes.”
“No, I should be sorry. I brought you all into this. I even led the government onto what Stan was planning.”
Stanley patted the boy on his head. “Well I’ve erased the memories of those agents. They won’t bother us, unless if Bill Cipher got to them.”
“I did!”
Dipper, Mabel, Soos, Wendy, Grunkle Stan, and Stanley just defeated Bill Cipher and his army of mind controlled government agents.
“Well Pine Tree, Shooting Star, Red or Ice?, Stanford a.k.a. Moon Crest, and of course you six-fingers; you’ve bested me again. But just know this, I’ve figured out who’s Star Eye and Heart Stitch are, and I’m very close to finding Llama, but I don’t really know who’s Glasses.”
Stanley rubbed his arm.
“But I’ll be back to put a smile on all you’re faces. Well maybe not yours, but a lot of other people. Until then, I’ll be watching you.”
Bill turning into his wheel symbol to vanish, but Mabel stopped him. “Wait, if you can see everything, how come you didn’t know where the third journal was?”
Bill was silent for a moment, and then vanished.
“You really going into hiding again?” Grunkle Stan asked Stanley late at night in the forest with Dipper and Mabel.
“I’m sorry, but Bill couldn’t have controlled all those people on his own. He may be a powerful dream demon, but he does have his limits, and he’s only one person.” Stanley hopped onto a Griffin. “The true apocalypse is close. I can feel it. Dipper, Mabel, I know you’re just kids, but you’re needed now more than ever. And Stanford; watches over them and help them on their quests.”
The Griffin flapped his wings and carried Stanley into the night sky.
Grunkle Stan placed his hands on Dipper and Mabel’s shoulders. “Well I guess I can’t keep you safe from all this paranormal stuff. But as a Senior-Mystery Twin, I have to be a good teacher to the new generation.”
Mabel jumped into the air. “So now there’s me, Dipping Sauce, Soos, Wendy, and Grunkle Stan on our team. We’ll stop Bill Cipher and end the apocalypses. And maybe Dipper’s new crush can join to.”
Stan and Mabel looked at the shy Dipper. “Out with it, boy. Who’s the lucky girl this time?” Stan grinned with pride. “You can at least tell us she’s closer to your age.”
“Oh no one you like, know! No one who’s experienced character development or anything related to a direction.”
Mabel then put on her Scep-ticles and doodle some random math problems on a notebook. “Carry the cherry pie, divide a streaming river ……… YOU HAVE A CRUSH ON PACIFICA!”
Pacifica Northwest, the richest kid in Gravity Falls, was lying in her bed with a swollen black eye and a broken arm. Her face showed pain and sadness. He kneeled and tried crying herself to sleep. The voice of her parents still haunts her mind. ‘Rebel like that again, and we’ll disown you! And don’t ever think about see that boy for the rest of your life!’
However, her thoughts soon changed to comforting, as she imagined a smiling face of a familiar boy. Soon that boy was all she could think about. She looked up at the ceiling blankly. “Uh oh.”
“Uh oh indeed.”
Pacifica bolted up and saw a floating one-eyed pyramid creature. “What are you!? Get out of my room or I’ll have you thrown in jail forever!” She threw a clock at the demon, but it passed right through him.
“Relax, I’m here to help with your ‘parents’ problem. The name’s Bill Cipher.” The Dream Demon floated around Pacifica. “Just think of me as a magical creature that helps those in need. And from the look of that shiner, I think you really need me to fix your life.”
“Fix my life?” Even though the creature just appeared out of nowhere, she couldn’t help but feel comfort.
Bill created images of all the times her parents controlled her life. “Don’t you wish that your parents weren’t so controlling, or violent? Don’t you want to can be free to fix your family’s name?” Bill then created an image of Dipper. “And I’ll ship this.”
Bill Cipher’s words sounded tempting to the girl. “So you can fix all this? How?”
“Don’t worry about how; focus on all the good you can do for the future. If you succeed, I see you and a certain boy holding hands at the beach.”
Pacifica smiled at the thought. “So what’s the catch?”
“Aren’t you quick.” Bill then created an image of a llama facing left. “Your parents will be out of town tomorrow, I want you to go hiking with Pine Trees and Shooting Star, also known as Dipper and Mabel. Just tag along on their quest and if you stumble upon any object with this symbol, break it. It’ll save their lives.”
“Their lives!?” Pacifica became worried. “Why are they in danger?”
“It’s just that item I told you about will end up making a huge change. And boy I do not like the look of it.” Bill held his flaming hand out. “So do we have a deal? And no, this will not burn you.”
From what her parents put her through and the thoughts of Dipper’s life on the line, she made the deal without a second thought.
“Her so called ‘rich and perfect’ life makes this so easy, it’s boring.”
End of Chapter
A/N: Just letting you know, I don’t truly believe that ‘Stanley’ is Mabel and Dipper’s grandpa. If so, then they pretty much have to show their parents so their dad and also reunite with Stanley. But I do find it suspicious that Dipper and Mabel’s actual grandfather was never mentioned, so who know
