    “GGGGGMMMM!” Rachel grunted through the rag pulled over her mouth as she landed on her front on the dusty floor of the old bedroom of the abandoned mansion she had been snooping around in, unable to break her fall due to how her hands and legs were bound with strong rope.

    The goon who had unceremoniously dropped her gave a sneer before saying, “Least you’ve got company sweetheart.”

    As she shook strands of her raven hair out of her eyes Rachel wondered what he meant. She lifted her head and then, to her horror, saw two other bound and gagged snoops ahead of her. Blonde haired Abigail looked down at her, held fast in a kneeling position while moaning through her gag. Meanwhile redheaded Harriet wasn’t giving up without a fight, writhing and thrashing against her bonds eager to give her captor a piece of her mind.

    Before Rachel could react, she heard a notification from her phone, but her phone wasn’t on her body. It was now in the hand of her captor, and he eagerly took the opportunity to check it for her. “Oooh another one,” he exclaimed in mock excitement. “Sara is it? Currently checking the old servants wing. Well let’s send her an invite.”

   “Lllllvvvv hhrrrr llllnnnnn,” Harriet protested, but they could only watch as the goon typed into Rachel’s phone.

    “There, all sent,” he gloated before reading it out. “We’re all upstairs in the west wing. We found something amazing, come right now! Reckon that’ll lure your chum into my trap?”

     “NNNNMMM!” Abigail protested as she and the others watched the goon give them a cheery wave before slamming the door shut on them.

    They wasted no time in trying to get free. Abigail shuffled forward on her knees while Harriet scooted over using her bound feet as they tried to work together to get free, the darkness and tightness of the knots hampering their efforts. Rachel meanwhile managed to use all her strength to haul her body up into a standing position. Bouncing on the heels of her boots she hopped to the door, intending to try and open it, but it was sealed shut.

  Rachel got frustrated and started bashing against the door and walls with her shoulder and making as much noise as her gag would allow. She had to let me know that I was walking into a trap. I was now their last chance of escape, and for all she knew, I was currently in the corridor outside the room, snooping my way around trying to find them, oblivious to their distress in the adjacent room…
