Description
Here's the (for now) preliminary version of a map I've been working on since Fall 2018. It's a composite map of every isometric Fallout game's world maps, plus Wasteland 1 and 2.Familiarity with the games will help one understand which settlement is represented by what dot. A version with a key will be made later. There's been some modifications that I'd like to mention to explain the creation of the map.
Fallout 2 and Fallout: Nevada display different placements for New Reno. The latter depicts New Reno closer to its real life placement, so I went with that.
I moved the Hub to the Necropolis' spot and the Necropolis to a ruin shown west of Lost Hills in the original Fallout map. This is to match both real-life placement and the established proximity between Long 15 and the Hub.
I deleted a fourth railroad attached to Fort Aradesh and Hoover Dam in order to resolve a conflict between Van Buren and New Vegas. A railroad did exist between them, but we assume it has been since destroyed.
New Vegas is depicted to the east in Fallout: Nevada. I moved it to a ruin on the Fallout 1 map to sync it up with Hoover Dam.
I had access to the terrain maps for Fallout 1, 2, and Nevada. I didn't for Fallout 1.5 and Fallout: Sonora, and there's not a good map with distinguishable Van Buren terrain. I did the first two by eyes alone.
Wasteland's terrain has been completely deprecated to fit Fallout Sonora. Quartz and the Citadel are synced while New Vegas syncs with Base Cochise and Needles. The locations that appear in Wasteland 2 are synced to the Citadel. I did not use Wasteland 2's terrain for the eastern portion of the map yet; I may do so in the future.
Fallout: Tactics is not included; when Wasteland 3 is released, I will use that game to sync Tactics with the rest of the map.
Credit goes to Interplay/Black Isle/Obsidian for inventing Fallout and the three canonical games that appear here (F1, F2, FNV.) They also get credit for the cancelled third game (Van Buren.)
Credit goes to Nevada Band Studios for their two fan games (Fallout: Nevada and Fallout: Sonora.) These games are mods for Fallout 2 and can be downloaded here: www.nma-fallout.com/threads/fa… fallout-nevada.ucoz.ru/index/f… Fallout: Sonora is not yet translated to English; if you know Russian and want to help, they are organizing here: www.nma-fallout.com/threads/ge…
Credit goes to the Resurrection Team for their fan game (Fallout 1.5.) This game is a mod for Fallout 2 and can be downloaded here: resurrection.cz/en/download/
Credit goes to Interplay/InXile for inventing Wasteland and the two Wasteland games that appear here (W1, W2.)
While their map has yet to be integrated, Mutants Rising is also mentioned here because it'll be the first native English total conversion for Fallout 2 and Las Vegas appears in that game.
