for the paper? I used single dip copperplate. it's nice and easy to use.

cool. we have to use regular copper and etch the hell out of it! is single dip copper plate a process or a special plate?

oh, no. Copperplate is the name of the brand of paper we use. Since I use single dip, it's ready to print on after one dip instead of soaking it for hours...and I THINK that's the way to spell it...he never told us...the metal plate we use is zinc and we asphaltum the plate then needle and stick it into the acid to eat away at the lines.
This particular etching was done with both needle/acid etching and aquatinting.
It's fun...but annoying.
