  ✧ lived in the early 1900's for most of his formative years, being visited regularly by his grandfather and occasionally taken for family visits to the present, due to his family growing tired of the lack of modern technology, and worry that Audri would struggle with it in the future.

  ✧ at about eight years old while on a long term visit to the present, Audris grandfather was caught and arrested by the council, and put to death for repeated manipulation of the timeline and to prevent further altercations.

  ✧ one of the ruling council families, a kitsune family, offered to pardon and protect Audris family in the wake of his grandfathers death, by integrating them into the family via Audris arranged marriage. his parents agreed, and Audri was suddenly forced to live full time in the modern world, given schooling and an eventual job by the council.

  ✧ early on in his council-dictated life, he became friends with the heir of another high ranking family, Dresden, and remained solid friends with him throughout school, Dresdens being disowned, and later working as his partner for years.

  ✧ Audris in laws eventually decided that he had worked enough, and wanted to pull him away from the council and more into the family, and decided it was time he settled down and married his fiance, Alyssa. Audri asked Dresden if he would run away from the council and their families with him shortly after his in-laws request, but was shot down. Audri lost almost all contact with Dresden immediately after as he moved in with his in-laws and began trying to live the life his parents committed him to.

  ✧ while Audri was fond of his fiance, he never really came to love her in the way he was expected to, but he did his best to act like he did and got married to her despite it. dresden did not show up to the wedding ))):

  ✧ he never really wanted children, either, however he caved and began trying for kids with Alyssa when her parents began pushing them, approximately a year into their marriage. he was still a dedicated husband and started researching and planning how to be a better parent.
