First spread: I have to admit I was a little intimidated by the thought of doing a full-color comic. I'd say it's easily twice as much work as doing a black and white comic, which itself is not an easy thing. I chose to use watercolors, then, because they are the fastest color medium I work in, and one that I could reasonably expect myself to be able to work with, every day, for a month.

Even so, each one of these pages took roughly three hours just to color. Though the earlier ones took longer, since I hadn't settled into a routine. It might have been fatally discouraging, but I just put my head down and kept grinding forward. And the results, I must admit, were very rewarding.
