"In ancient times, Werewolves, not unlike their human counterparts, have taken to building natural calendars and clocks to help keep track of not only the lunar cycles but the changing of seasons as well. Fashioned of stone and sometimes wooden implements, these calendars have also served as gathering grounds for social ceremonies for wild werewolf packs. At the encroachment of human civilization to the previously wild expanses of the natural world, many of these ancient calendar devices have since been abandoned, spinning forth speculation on their mysterious origins. Many of these devices have been credited to local native human tribes that inhabited overlapping territories with the werewolves of the day."
