And now, we add a human into the mix of my OC cast for Helluva Boss. In short, she's like Philip J. Fry, except she's cooler in every sense of the word. Keep in mind though that she is 17 years old, for only a few chapters. I'll add in a special 18th birthday oneshot where things will get especially saucy to celebrate Pride Month.

Maya is one of the unlucky souls born into Earth without a mother, and a verbally abusive father who saw her as nothing more than a mistake. The only one who didn't consider her that or a menace to society was Mrs. Mayberry. In fact, she was the reason she was so eager to spend her time in detention: it meant she would see her more often. But after her murder-suicide of her husband and herself, which Martha unfortunately survived, Maya couldn't accept a world where she got away with taking her away from her, and ran away from home.

It was about a month before she found Martha and discovered her darkest secret: she and her family were a pack of cannibals. She was caught in the middle, and Andi, the new recruit for IMP, saved her and Moxxie, her co-worker, from a gruesome fate. After coming to terms with what Andi and Moxxie were, Maya posted that evidence worldwide and eradicated her status as a "hero" moments before Moxxie took the shot and murdered her.

Maya thought she would just go about her "pointless" life from then on until she heard Blitzø, their boss, mention Mayberry's name. The revelation terrified her to know that her teacher, the one who practically raised her, was sent to Hell at first, but after letting it sink in, she immediately followed them and demanded to see her. As it happened, Mayberry was visiting IMP headquarters, and after the bittersweet celebration, mainly for Moxxie, Mayberry brought Maya with her to where she stayed, in a hotel with the oddly compassionate landlord, Lax, and helped Maya start her new and better life in Hell.
