You can thank for the existence of this piece. We were talking the other night about how awesome the book was and the movie as well, and they commented that they were doodling Toothless.Well, I was inspired and I got the above picture after about 3 hours of work. Darn shading. >.6
Anyway, enjoy but please remember one thing: I love comments, but DO NOT POST SPOILERS. Don't be mean, people.

That book was the first I ever read its what got me a read a holic I read the whole series but I'm afraid to see the movie I dun wanna see my child hood book get ruined like most books that I read and they made a movie of it. But still a grate pic

I can understand why you're worried. Another friend of mine, was also very worried.
But the movie takes the ideas of the books and makes it big enough for the silver screen and overall, I thought it worked excellent! They kept the characters very much as they were in the book, so I think you'll enjoy.

But 'How To Train Your Dragon' did pretty well for itself. :3 It is a little different, of course, but in a good 'for the movie screen' kind of way.

And just as one last note to ease your mind: The writer of the books said herself that while it did differ, it still kept true to the core of the book's ideas and that she enjoyed it!

I wouldn't knock it- you've got a polished piece of work (which, obviously, is more than I can say XD), not to mention an ambitious pose, there. And you've got good ideas there with the shading- not bad at all!
Heck, you can make that whole neck/head thing look reasonable. XD

Yeah, I like the addition of his 'hip-fins'. That helps the realism for me somehow.
