I read Wuthering Heights for my summer reading assignmentand today I made a character based on it sort of but not really
just sort of the time period
but because I'm kind of lazy, I'm just going to paste the skype conversation with Pansetta I had explaining his entire story and stuff

[7:32:23 PM] chiicken: So Bennet is the brother and Florence is his sister
[7:32:29 PM] chiicken: their parents aren't important
[7:32:37 PM] chiicken: they aren't important either, in society
[7:32:43 PM] chiicken: they're donkeys

[7:32:54 PM] chiicken: so almost like second class citizens?
[7:32:54 PM] chiicken: XD
[7:33:01 PM] chiicken: think Heathcliff I guess

[7:33:22 PM] chiicken: so the family is poor and low in social terms
[7:33:35 PM] chiicken: like "don't touch me, you donkey peasants"
[7:33:46 PM] chiicken: but Bennet is obsessed with getting to the top
[7:33:56 PM] chiicken: he wants to be up there with other people
[7:34:13 PM] chiicken: and horses are basically like nobles and estate owners
[7:34:26 PM] chiicken: and he desperately wants to get into that social group
[7:34:32 PM] chiicken: even though his family is loving
[7:34:41 PM] chiicken: and there's nothing terribly wrong with where he is
[7:34:48 PM] chiicken: he's just not as good as a horse
[7:34:53 PM] chiicken: so he tries to be
[7:35:02 PM] chiicken: he learns to be a gentleman
[7:35:22 PM] chiicken: and inserts him wherever he can in the higher social group
[7:35:31 PM] chiicken: he also makes a million enemies
[7:35:39 PM] chiicken: because he's only thinking of himself
[7:36:00 PM] chiicken: he uses and manipulates people to climb the ladder
[7:36:10 PM] chiicken: and leaves them in the dirt
[7:36:23 PM] chiicken: so he changes into kind of a bad person
[7:36:31 PM] chiicken: but he makes "friends" in the right places
[7:36:38 PM] chiicken: gets a better education
[7:36:47 PM] chiicken: and gets a lot of wealth
[7:36:56 PM] chiicken: so these horses actually begin to notice him
[7:37:08 PM] chiicken: and he spends all of his time with the high class
[7:37:32 PM] chiicken: and looks down upon pretty much all donkeys
[7:37:37 PM] chiicken: except his family
[7:38:12 PM] chiicken: but he thinks they're kind of pathetic for not even trying to do what he is
[7:38:40 PM] chiicken: and at some point his sister confronts him about how bad of a person he is
[7:38:47 PM] chiicken: and how he's barely recognisable
[7:38:56 PM] chiicken: blinded by desperation to be something he's not
[7:39:12 PM] chiicken: and points out that he's probably being used just as much as he used others
[7:39:22 PM] chiicken: because no matter what, he's still a donkey
[7:39:46 PM] chiicken: and she doesn't think anyone will ever think of him differently
[7:39:55 PM] chiicken: and he ignores her and continues as he is
[7:40:03 PM] chiicken: saying that she can join him whenever
[7:40:07 PM] chiicken: and that she's being silly
[7:40:12 PM] chiicken: because he's gotten this far

[7:41:41 PM] chiicken: The owner of Owlspire Manor is one such person who really hates him

[7:42:24 PM] chiicken: and he's like "excuse you you're a donkey piece of crap stop trying to get on our level"
[7:42:29 PM] chiicken: "you don't deserver this"
[7:42:36 PM] chiicken: "also you're kind of a horrible person"
[7:43:42 PM] chiicken: so he sends on of his own servants to infiltrate Ribbontrail Hall
[7:43:51 PM] chiicken: and she attempts to poison him
[7:44:07 PM] chiicken: but Bennet's head housemaid and cook catch on

[7:44:36 PM] chiicken: Bennet's sister gets word of this
[7:44:49 PM] chiicken: and comes to plead him to stop and step down from that life
[7:44:55 PM] chiicken: and they argue and fight
[7:45:09 PM] chiicken: and she decides that he's not worth it
[7:45:22 PM] chiicken: because he's barely her brother anymore
[7:45:46 PM] chiicken: he doesn't seem to get what's going on and just thinks of it as "all part of the game"
[7:46:25 PM] chiicken: And she basically says he's a fake
[7:46:41 PM] chiicken: he's still masquerading as something he'll never be
[7:46:47 PM] chiicken: but he's kind of blind to all of this
[7:46:59 PM] chiicken: because in his eyes, it's all he's ever wanted
[7:47:21 PM] chiicken: So
[7:48:01 PM] chiicken: she and her family basically disown him
[7:48:25 PM] chiicken: Ribbontrail Hall becomes more larger and more valuable
[7:48:42 PM] chiicken: and he marries a mare from another estate
[7:49:21 PM] chiicken: they end up having two mules
[7:49:30 PM] chiicken: which are extremely uncommon in that society
[7:49:41 PM] chiicken: but they get through okay because their dad is super rich
[7:50:16 PM] chiicken: Bennet begins to suffer a bunch of revenge plots from different people
[7:50:29 PM] chiicken: he gets beat up a couple times
[7:50:36 PM] chiicken: brushes it off and goes on his way
[7:51:22 PM] chiicken: and his property was
[7:51:31 PM] chiicken: I can't think of the word hold on
[7:51:47 PM] Pansy_: k
[7:52:24 PM] chiicken: okay vandalised
[7:52:33 PM] Pansy_: ok
[7:52:58 PM] chiicken: his daughter ends up getting sick and dying when she's relatively young
[7:53:16 PM] chiicken: so then it's him, his wife, and his son
[7:53:41 PM] chiicken: but after a while, the wife basically takes his money and leaves because screw donkeys amirite
[7:53:46 PM] chiicken: also her daughter died
[7:54:08 PM] chiicken: So then Bennet's left alone with a couple tenants and his servants and stuff
[7:54:36 PM] chiicken: Someone sets his house on fire while he's asleep one night
[7:54:41 PM] chiicken: and it wasn't one person
[7:54:47 PM] chiicken: nobody actually likes him
[7:54:54 PM] chiicken: or at least most people don't
[7:55:11 PM] chiicken: so a few people organize this
[7:55:29 PM] chiicken: and set a lot of fires on his house and in the gardens and stuff
[7:56:04 PM] chiicken: and luckily everyone is able to get out
[7:56:11 PM] chiicken: but the fire isn't extinguished
[7:56:28 PM] chiicken: Bennet gets burned

[7:56:50 PM] chiicken: and he's left with nothing
[7:57:06 PM] chiicken: he's able to go to another estate
[7:57:20 PM] chiicken: but they want to make him work like an average servant
[7:57:28 PM] chiicken: and he's like "um no thanks"
[7:57:39 PM] chiicken: so he goes home in a sort of fall from grace
[7:57:45 PM] chiicken: his parents have both died
[7:58:03 PM] chiicken: so he goes to his sister
[7:58:10 PM] chiicken: who turns him away
[7:58:27 PM] chiicken: Bennet doesn't really have anywhere to go
[7:58:36 PM] chiicken: he can't start over
[7:58:58 PM] chiicken: and he refuses to live the life of a low class donkey
[7:59:10 PM] chiicken: so he chooses a direction
[7:59:13 PM] chiicken: and walks
[7:59:15 PM] chiicken: and walks
[7:59:16 PM] chiicken: and walks
[7:59:29 PM] chiicken: and he's alone in the fall in the wilderness
[7:59:40 PM] chiicken: and he gets too tired to walk anymore
[7:59:47 PM] chiicken: and he just kind of lays down and dies
[7:59:48 PM] chiicken: the end

no none of my characters have happy endingsΒ
but it's nice to have another set of characters that interact with eachother

I suck at coming up with happy endings that are satisfying for me, so they just get sad ones instead
