It's the enemy called "Verdugo", the one with the long, bladed tail.
You don't need to kill it.
You can escape it if you want by enduring its attacks until the elevator to exit arrives.

Not really, all it takes is one Rocket Launcher.
You could get a free Rocket Launcher in that room with the glass casing that contains multiple ammunition.
When fighting the "Right Hand", all you need to do is to push a liquid nitrogen tank to the floor and have it's contents spill all over the monster.
It'll be frozen and during that time, it's movements will slow and it'll get multiplied damage.
Just shoot it once with the Rocket Launcher and you'll smash it to pieces.

Killing the "Right Hand" is the only way to get the last piece to complete the Salazar Crown (so you can sell it at a really high price).

LOL. In the version I played it had subtitles saying "You're right hand comes off." FAIL. And later, with the regenerator note, "at an incredible speeds." Epic fail.

Perhaps... either that or he's just succombing slowly to the stress and lack of any civilized treatment. I mean... the guy's gotta be starving... Herbs and chicken eggs (and the occasional black bass) probably don't cut it. So... all of the energy drainers may have contributed to that. But...that don't explain Luis's fail with the regenerators... perhaps one could say it's 'cauz he's Spanish... but that'd sound racist. XD
