Description Desktop screenshot. Thing to notice here is the wallpaper, by tigerfeiry using Photoshop with a plugin. This blows me away. I'm told the plugin allows adjustment of parameters (including choice of colors) to determine the image. The plugin is using some mathematical algorithm to calculate the texture.

After some soul searching I decided the algorithm is most likely a "strange attractor" [link] . The remarkable thing is that besides the usual mathematical constraints it generates an image that is tileable.

I was puzzled at first about why the swirls all go inward clockwise. I believe that's related to the image being calculated in phase space rather than normal geometrical space.
