Description
Hi everyone. It's been a while since I have painted. Yesterday I got out my brushes and did this portrait of Darth Vader. This was my first time painting on linen. Usually I use canvas. I probably will never use canvas again now. Linen is awesome to paint on. I used a lot of blues and cool colors so I thought I'd give it some contrast with the warm burgundy eyes. I am pretty happy with how this turned out.Since the painting is still wet it was hard to photograph. Some of the colors are slightly off. I will probably scan this when it's dry and it will be truer to life.

Very cool painting, the texture gives it the 70's feel Darth. Your very talented in many mediums and an inspiration to many artists. Thank you!

Brian, you turn an old, somewhat warn out icon from the late '70s into something very contemporary and fresh. Very cool, really like it!

Simplistic and clean. Very elegant, I'm impressed at the range of colors you employed, I had no idea you could use dark variations of colors to represent black. Excellent use of warm/cool tones.
