Yeah, I know - you see Star Wars FanArt all over the place. But this one was for one of my younger students, who is a particular fan of Darth Vader. If they're good kids, I don't mind doing a quick little painting for them.This is watercolour, 8" by 8".
Please be so kind as to watch what you say - he's likely to visit the page. The kid, I mean. Darth Vader probably won't. C:

Thanks very much! I think this one might have worked pretty well in acrylic, but when I paint, I usually just kind of naturally reach for the watercolours these days.

My daughter's big on Star Wars as well. She has all these books and stuff that have characters in them that don't even appear in the films! It's like a whole 'nother world they've created! So who's your favourite character?

Well, thanks! Sharp highlights like this really make a painting pretty easy; the perspective was the hard part, but I blocked the reference photo and it all seemed to fall into place.
