Description
This is a Christmas commission I've been working on for the past week or two. A man from Canada wrote me an e-mail on my website asking me if I could draw a portrait of his wife, Susan. I have to say that I was a little intimidated by all of the blonde hair. But it actually wasn't too bad. The background was made with 3B graphite and blended. I did multiple layers to achieve the darkness. All in all I am pretty happy with the way this drawing turned out and I know my customer is as well. I've been sending him all of the updates that I have posted on DA and he seemed pretty excited about everything. One more drawing down...on to the next.14"x20" Fabriano Hotpress
3B, B, H pencils
blending stumps and tissue blending for the background
