Well, so I did this because I wanted to draw a horse and, at the same time, I was in a pokémon mood because of She had done a Rapidash not long ago and I felt like drawing a pokémon. Plus, that lead me to restart playing Pokémon Gold... xDI'm in the middle of a crisis - art block, call it what you want, but it's preventing me from doing back legs on horses...
I know that doesn't look much like Rapidash. But it's a Rapidash... xD Looks more like a female than like a male to me...
Used it to practice with my new tablet. xD
Rapidash is copyrighted to the creator of Pokémon, Satoshi Tajiri *trusts in Flying for the name... xD*

I absolutely love it; it's better than I could do at flames. xD
The only thing I can suggest is that you erase some of the extra lines (ie. on the raised back leg, near the knee I noticed an extra line.. xP )

sorry for this but I'm going to be rather harsh XD
maybe try smudging or smearing the flames to make them seem more realstic
and try to add some reflections on the body from the fire

Actually the file was so big that smudging a bit of it would take a long time... xDDDD So I smudged the less I could... xD But the flames seem too solid for me too... Especially on the tail...
I thought of adding reflections too, but that would be too much shading for me, something I couldn't do due to so many angles, and I didn't want to wait longer to finish it... xD Plus, Rapidash doesn't have that shading, so I had no ref and I just knew I couldn't do it properly... xD So I didn't even try... Thank you for all the tips! ^_^

^O^ I did a rapidash piece a while back but it was not nearly as half as good as this!
I love the fire. I can never seem to get fire right without making it look cheesy XD
