Huh, interesting design there. Pretty original, nicely done there. I am curious, why a cat-o-nine-tails as the weapon?

I was going to go with a blunt melee weapon for them but it seemed a bit to brutish and unfitting with their design! Then I was going to go with a bow or something, but their design doesn't scream 'agile' to me.
The cat-o-nine-tails was it because I'd be able to make it look elegant and stunning, while also being quite simple and packing a lot of punch!

I wouldn't really associate a cat-o-nine-tails as a weapon that packs a punch, not when compared to things like war-hammers anyway. Elegant and stunning to be sure, and given this character likely has super strength comparable to Garnet's it could be used for some precision strikes to vital areas with power though. Β Especially if they can extend, this is something I'd like to see in some kind of future picture or whatnot. Either way, a nice design and a unique choice of weapon.
