a much belated b-day gift for my girl
Sorry it took so long! Can you ever forgive me? 
There were lots of start up problems I was having with this picture, mostly with how to draw a semi-beefy male. you see, I don't do that very often 
My big lesson here is to have the lineart and anatomy FULLY REALIZED before adding too much shading. Because if there's a conflict with the posing, it's very hard to just erase all that rendering (like in the arms). But I feel this is complete and I can leave it for now. Later I do plan to come back and add Ashely and the merchant in some way

The first time I see Hand Cannon(and someone say that it's Barry Burton's),I thought it's a modified Colt Python Elite model for .50 caliber use.But after taking some time researching it,it turns out to be a S&W Model 500 magnum handgun which fires .500 S&W rounds;somehow larger than .50 A.E rounds.
Leon's probably taking a rest after going through so much battle that he barely able to relax for a while,so I guess that explains that pose,no?

Solid anatomy and pose. Good 'form' shading (you're starting to push those values darker too, which is great!). Seemingly very character-accurate. Oh, and that hair

The gun and the hand covering the top of it seem unfinished to me (no value sets to them, unfortunately). Lack of cropping (especially around the legs) hurts more than helps.
I think the work and time was well worth it. Top notch from ya!

It's drawings like this that linger to remind me of my knowledge gaps in human anatomy; a reminder that, for some things, I'm just scraping by--hoping to emulate form well enough so that nobody cares too much when it goes wrong 
I understand about the cropping. You think it should crop right on the belt buckle?
I don't want to leave this as just a learning experience-- the whole plan was to take this element and make a parody pic out of it, or even a button. I was supposed to add the Merchant and Ashley later, as well. I dunno... do you think the fan art buying public will much care for the little things that may be off?

Definately. There's more right than what could be considered wrong in this picture. I often ask the question "is it pleasing to look at?"... if so, usually the picture succeeds. Having a flaw shouldn't mean the whole picture was a failure.
If you've got the drive to finish two whole other characters, I hope you go for it. But, this picture by itself... yeah, around the belt level would be a good spot to crop. Do it by eye, and don't be afraid to get rid of the extra white (unless you intend on drawing in more leg or whatever).

Then I haye to say this, but, hes not holding the gun right. You hold the gun like that when you are about to chamber the first bullet in single-action pistols.

Ok, I'm sorry. I didn't read the comments when I looked at this pic so I didn't know what to think. Plus, I've seen so much missuse and unrealstic use of guns over the years I thought that you were just another looser who had no idea what he was doing. So you really cant blame me, its a great pic by the way. (I'm not calling you a idiot or anything like that)

You did a fine job on the HandCannon, but man that thing in game, and this drawing doesn't look real. His hand, does look like he's pulling back the slide of a semi-automatic pistol, but then again, I do put my hand on the hammer, when I shot revolvers. I wouldn't trust a game to give you accurat info. A springfield XD is a 9mm, with a eternal hammer (If I rember right.) But like I offered another guy, I have years of gun experience, from my parents (Yes my mom was a gunsmith) being gunsmiths, that I can help you. You did great, I like the whole pic, the guns fantastic, but like I said, if you need any info on guns, I'm here to help. But a little trivia for you. The hand cannon is bassed on the S&W 500, which shoots a 500 magnum (Bullets 50.Cal). And this is the second Handcannon if RE, cause in 0 you can unlokc a revolver, and it says that "Its more of a Hand Cannon, than a handgun." But yeah fine job, and keep up the work.
