Ponies have got the upper hand against any current aircraft. Since they've got wings, they can pull off all kinds of weird maneuvers, or suddenly stop and whatnot.
The only thing that would shred 'em, if they existed, would be anything above a VF-0.
I'm sure a VF-25 or a YF-29 would do.

The Wonderbolt colors and the Blue Angels colors were deliberately chosen to be the same since they are both aerial acrobatics teams. Β The only difference are the jagged edges of the yellow to make it look like lightning bolts.

Sort of...except the ADMM is capable of locking 12 targets at once, and if you have less than 12 targets, it assigns extra missiles to existing target locks.
So...if you lock the ADMM on one target...yeah, that's a Macross Missile Massacre right there.

Hey, you saw how close that Nos was when it fired the ADMM's...you need space between you and your target for the missiles to leave the launchers.
Also the CFA-44 has a thin skin owing to weight issues. It's not a flying tank like the A-10...it's made to be nimble.
