Heh. Remember what Samus' Power Suit used to look like?I tried to capture that look a little in this. Basic armor plates in a few places, sci-fi look to most things.
Hell, none of it really makes sense either.
I had fun with it at least.

Smooth lines and organic, circular forms give the feeling of movement (especially the hair) and are well composed. The choice of a monochrome colour scheme give it a sense of gravity, and more attention can be paid to the lighting and value of the picture.
I feel there is no real awkwardness in the piece since the lines flow together so well. The cartoon-like proportions work well to give her a sense of power due to the emphasis on her shoulders, chest and thighs. However, I personally think the bent arm's inner elbow should be more pronounced. Anyway, it's a well put together, visually pleasing piece.

I don't have a subscription so I can't write a "real" critique but here ya go:
The pose is extremely awkward, specifically her feet being turned inward. Almost looks like her foot is broken.
Proportions are extremely stylized, don't know if I like it or not. I do love the arm cannon, though.
The suit reminds me a lot of Prime 2's Light Suit -- kinda like you mixed the Varia with the Light and this would be the result.
