K.This is Samus. She's wearing a bikini.
She's also wearing armor.
Not to mention the fact that she is brandashing her arm cannon.
Yep. You guessed it guys and gals. This is actually based off the original JustinBailey code, hence the green hair, purple suit, and the cannon still afixiated on her arm.
Cool beans, eh? Yeah. As you can tell, I just basically removed the blue lines, and worked on the sketchy drawing. Some people may not like the whole sketchiness poking through, but then again, not all art is supposed to be everyone's cup of tea.
Oh, and you can find the lovely "other" colors in the scrap gallery. Just basically recolors of her hair and main armor.

I like your homage to the old Justin Bailey code. As for advanced critique, I'm not in the position to say much, but I will say that I like your compositional choices. The lack of ground is kind've weird, but given the background with its vertical streaks, it works well as a piece. And since your white fuzz around the character is intentional, I can't slam you for not editing it out when you had the chance (peeve of mine, that).

Oh hey, I remember that in the older Metroid games her hair is depicted in different colors like green, auburn, violet, and blonde.

It looks good, and I like the fact the you can the original sketch, but maybe it would look better cleaned up a bit more. The piece is automatically awesome because of the subject matter, though.

Excelent job! It looks like a sketch painted with PAintBBS! It looks so awesome! I would've liked to see Samu's face, but I guess this way she looks more misterious, I like that about her! ^_^ Maybe it's the reason I really liked her since I saw her. Funny thing is, I was actually thinking of someday draw Samus in her original justinbailey form myself. Only not with green hair and purple bailey, instead with brown hair and magenta bailey like when you entered the code with the K's and the 9's. You just enter on the first line all K's and the second line all 9's.....or maybe it was the first line all 9's and the second K's....either way, try them both and see for yourself! ^_^
