i always wondered what happens when you print color film as if it's black n white. is it worse?

sorry for replying 3 years later, but yes, it's worse. it tends to be very grey and it's difficult to get good tones out of it.

i really like this one. the low contrast supports the feeling extremely well, simply a magnificent picture. (((:

the non-perfection makes it more familiar. but somehow i can't agree with that "inverted vignette", if you know what i mean
tried burning the edges?

Gonzale In reply to Isyia [2006-01-21 17:13:21 +0000 UTC]
didn't try... i had like an hour or so.. printed 6 photos.. i'm slow
i had two tries for this one, the other is overexposed.. too white.
i had to use filter 4 and 4 1/2 sometimes.. damn color neg.

Reviens dΓ©velopper quand tu veux! (je dirai Γ Gaffit d'Γ©teindre son ordinateur)

it is one of my favourite songs too..
the negative is a little dirty i think...but it kinda adds to the whoe torn up-ness of the picture. i like the composition and the 'pose' haha...
did you use photoshop curves or anything to play with the black/white's? they are both a little grey. : )
π: 0 β©: 1
Gonzale In reply to thesinisterpenguin [2006-01-21 04:04:20 +0000 UTC]
the whites are white and the blacks are black
theres grey in between yes.
the neg is pretty clean, the wall wasnt !
my scanner's bad, i remind you.
cheers
