This drawing is for the Favourite Pony contest at
This pony gets way too less attention for the amount of work he does for the other ponies. He appears in the intro, in a few episodes of season 2 (he sits in the locomotive) and held one of the clues in the MMMystery on the Frienship Express.
And yet, he doesn't even have a name. So I'll call him Steam Whistler

Getting references of the locomotive wasn't all that easy, because the train changes his look all the time (sizes of the boiler or cab are always different, pistons change place, windows changes, the gold line around the cab sometimes goes missing too,..). So I mixed some designs and added a few things myself

While looking for references, I saw something.. The train doesn't even ride on the rails properly. WORK ON THAT MLP CREW

Naah, they do a fine job giving these wonderful animations to us, I'm just nitpicking

So yeah, this is one of my favourite ponies
