Over break I got the bizare urge to rent (and later buy) The Lion King 1 1/2. Mostly because Nathan Lane/Timon are so undeniably awesome I just needed to see more of them. Which would explain my other rental, The Birdcage (if you haven't seen this movie rent it NOW! ). So, anywho, while watching I decided to pause and draw from a screenshot. I hate doing that, but, when you want to draw Timon and you got a movie staring him infront of you...it can be veeerrryyy tempting . Not to mention the animation in the movie was feature film quality, which was a nice little surprise.I really took a long time coloring this. I had to coloring each line induvidually...I need either a tablet...or a better version of Photoshop, otherwise I may just go insane.
For a fist ever attempt at drawing him, I'd say I did an OK job. I wouldn't go so far as good though. Something about his headshape looks weird.
