I was over joyed when this print turned out! I've always been intrested in extreme weather and wish sometime to storm chase in America.
This picture was taken in the North East of England, I was hanging out of my bedroom window at the time. Using a basic SLR camera, I used a shutter release cable, counted the timing between bolts of lightning. It was a case of estimating the next strike, open the shutter, wait for the strike and release the shutter.
As you could inagine, quite a few prints were blank from no strike, a few had too much exposure.
With the haze, it's not the perfect picture I could have hoped for but something like this will take alot more practice - just need to wait for another decent storm during darker hours.
