I forgot to mention in the previous comment, that the style used in the other pictures, and especially this one, reminds me of the G1 style, and it's much more...pony-likeness.
I particular like how vivid herΒ colours areΒ (especially the eyes - I love intenseΒ purple or green eyes)

A nice piece indeed I like most of it however I don't like the fact that she don' t belong into the scene because of the color choices but its still very interesting to look at. mix in some of the sky color very lightly in the lights and what parts og her facing the ground some brownish green again vert lightly, then you will see she should look like she belong in there. again very nice piece you're doing good.

You mean, use brush with blue color and high transparency on every light part of picture? And use the same brush, but with green color, on dark ground?

No a soft round with low opacity on a new layer and erase the excess. you see the red shadow color makes a really high contrast between the focus point wich i persume is applejack, and the background wich is mostly based on blue and green and brown so the light would bounce of of the ground and other object around and reflect its color to those parts of her that is facing the ground. and since the sky is blue because of all water particles gets illuminated and reflects its color into the viewers eyes and affect all colors in the entire piece there should be a bluer tone in the lights facing the sky. the mid colors are perfect because they won't get affected as much. the further away from direct light the closer to the color of the actual object.
It will make it look like it belong into the scene if you bounce around the colors because that's how we see things and if something's wrong it will directly be noticed.
there's some other things you can do as well but i doubt you're going for a more realistic feel in this very piece.

Probably it can help. The thing what I understand is what focus point must fit enviroment, not be foreign body. And to do this, I must use reflexes everywhere. Other things are details.
Actually I know it already, but theoretically, my experience is not enough. But I remember about this when drawing.

Yeah. I can understand that. She got her leadership by being the head of her family. She is also the only one who has colors that real horses have and her stetson gives her her charm.

The more I hear about her, the more I think I like her more.
She did a lot of time shown leadership nearly equal and sometimes higher that Twilight. She really raised in fans' esteem these years.
