It also can be good way to eliminate inconvenient persons, once they fall down into this gate, anyone will never find them. Although Luna will never act like this because she's very kind. Yes.

I love that space suit, with the riveted horn pocket. And Twilight's expression of embarrassment after Luna determines that she's going to be OK.

This is kind of brilliant. Twilight's persistent curiosity. The clash between Luna's protective nature and the inherent danger of her responsibility.
I really like the 8th panel. That blank stare the both share because their both desperate for cues from the other to determine if what just happened is okay.
Luna, being protective and thus discouraging this, frowns first, and then Twilight tries to laugh it off. I would really like to see the other road – where Twilight just smiles, indicating that she's alright and Luna isn't as much of a monster as she sees herself. What's Luna's expression there?

I'm not sure that I understood correctly but Luna here is annoyed just because Twilight made her worry. Twilight realized that she had done something stupid and trying to mitigate the situation, but Luna remains steadfast, so Twilight just guiltily walks away.
If you delve into it, there is no reason for Twilight to feel guilty, Luna had to make sure that everyone knew about danger from her mane. But it's just simple humor, it doesn't make sense to delve into it.
Never thought about Luna's monstrosity while drawing it.

I agree. I really like how it is simple humor.
I didn't think about any nuances when I first seen this either. Later on in the day I ended up thinking about it more for some reason. My imagination, headcanon and other interpretations of these characters got me seeing this in different ways and thinking about different outcomes of this kind of interaction. Like if a more secure Twilight or if a less temperamental Luna were involved instead.
When characters who have somewhat complex personal conflicts are involved in a simple interaction, it's not too much of a stretch to see some of those conflicts in their quirks.
Your work made me laugh, got me thinking and let me write to it's artist. I can't ask for much more. Well done man!
