Description
On my recent trip to the most northern tip of Scotland i decided to be organised and be on location early enough to be sitting waiting on the sun coming up, instead of my usual "chasing the sun tactics" which funnily enough have never workedWhen arriving at Duncansby Head we stumbled upon this sea stack which we had missed the day before when we did a quick scout of the area just to check out the lie of the land so to speak, and it turned out to be a good find with a few good view points for setting up the tripods.
This is one of the shots i captured a bit before sunrise when the colours turned out quite well.
Yes they are natural colours, levels were adjusted slightly, a little burning and dodging around the rock faces and the image sharpened, and that's it as you see it
Hope you like it

crazy colour! nice choice with the long exposure, and good composition to show the scale of the scenery

Mmmm, i know, had it in a competition at the camera club a few nights ago and got the same comment, but believe me this image has hardly been touched, except for a bit of burning and dodging on the face of the rocks and then sharpened in PS.
thanks

But you are on higher ground right ?
I watched the news last night...so many homes wrecked and a police officer lost his life. Terrible for all concerned.
Keep safe Gordon.
